Food-contact suitability is specific.
rPET means recycled PET. It does not automatically establish that any resin, bottle or jar is suitable for direct contact with food. Ask how the recycled material was sourced and processed, and which use conditions the available evidence covers.

A practical approval path combines material records, finished-pack samples, product compatibility and the brand’s own regulatory review.
What to ask your packaging supplier
- Which exact material and bottle model are being proposed?
- What closure and seal combination has been checked?
- Which use conditions and target markets are covered by the available documents?
- Can we review a finished sample and current specification?
Bring these answers into your own product validation process before approving the final pack.
